Qxposure is a set of support services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer, questioning and Two-Spirit (LGBTTIQQ2S) adults in Peel Region.
Purpose
To promote healthy, safe, and proud queer and trans communities by providing support and resources, reducing social exclusion and improving access to health and social services.
Current services include:
- Weekly support and social drop-in (Thursday evenings)
- One-to-one support and referral sessions
- Confidential phone, email and facebook contact
- LGBT primary health care and trans-specific health care
- Advocacy around queer and trans issues
- Connection to Peel PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays)
- Referral to queer and trans positive services including counseling
- Consultations with service provider allies and families of queer and trans folks
- Collaboration with community organizations on join initiatives including education and trainings
About the group
QXposure runs a drop-in social and support group for queer and trans adults over the age of 18 who live in Peel Region. The group provides opportunities for peer support, social networking, discussion and social events. No pre-registration or commitment is required. We will feed you and supply bus tickets to those participants who need them.
